We are not holding books for
you. The notices are only to let you know we have the new titles. We can't stop
these notices without taking you off Author Alert entirely. If you prefer to be
taken off Author Alert I can do that and you can sign up again when you
return. Or you can just hit delete when you get a notice until you are back in
Bloomington.

This is the message I sent to Judy Emmons. Obviously she doesn't understand how Author Alert works but it's a lot to explain in e-mail so I thought I would just let her know holds aren't being placed while she's gone and hope when she's back we can sort it out.
